GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Investigators are working to identify a body recovered from the Fox River in downtown Green Bay.
Police say the it will take some time to identify the body, as it had been in the water for “some time.”
Investigators are working with the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy will be conducted to find the cause of death and positively identify the man.
Officers do not suspect foul play.
At about 1 p.m., workers on the river saw the body and called police. Rescue crews responded to the area along S. Pearl St.
The man’s body was recovered a short time later.
